\u201eK\u00e4isin umbes 14aastasena papsiga kaasas. Toona oli Saaremaal veel piiritsoon. Loomulikult
\npolnud mul piiritsooni luba ja olin kuskil Volga istmete vahel, riiete ja kohvrite all peidus. Kui meenutada aga sportlikku ralli poolt, siis startisin esimest korda p\u00e4rast s\u00f5jav\u00e4ge, \u00e4kki oli aasta 1986, s\u00f5itsin Volgaga. Kaarti luges toona Daago Rubli.\u201c<\/p>\n
\u201eKaugatoma kiiruskatse on t\u00e4pselt samasugune. Vanasti ei s\u00f5idetud Undvat nii palju.
\nS\u00e4\u00e4re katseid on aja jooksul v\u00e4ga palju s\u00f5idetud. Ega Saarema n\u00fc\u00fcd nii suur ka pole, et koguaeg uusi katseid teha.\u201c<\/p>\n
\u201eMa ise \u00fctleks, et mul on elus olnud kaks vinget ralliaastat. 1993, kui s\u00f5itsin viimast
\naastat Samaraga. Toona oli mul \u00fche aasta jooksul 18 v\u00f5i 19 starti. Ja loomulikult aasta 2005, kui s\u00f5itsime Corolla WRCga… Siis tuli korralikult neid Eesti ja L\u00e4ti meistritiitleid! Corolla ajad olidki k\u00f5ige \u00e4gedamad ja ilmselt sinna j\u00e4\u00e4vad ka k\u00f5ige vingemad
\nSaaremaa rallid. \u201eKui vaadata stardinimekirja, siis siin on palju neid, kes s\u00f5idavad \u00fcldiselt v\u00e4he ja
\nteevadki hooaja ainsa stardi. Millegi p\u00e4rast tulevad Saaremaal ka need mehed v\u00e4lja. See on siin piirkonnas hooaja viimane ralli ja oma v\u00f5lu on ka mere taha tulekul. Mandrimehe jaoks on see ikka teistmoodi. Saaremaa meenutab oma olemuselt soomlaste Artic Rally’t,
\nmille kohta nad \u00fctlevad, et see pole v\u00f5idus\u00f5it, vaid seiklus. Saaremaal on samuti juures mingit teistmoodi imid\u017eit.\u201c<\/p>\n
\u201eKaugatomat on ikka \u00e4ge s\u00f5ita – \u00fchtlase tempoga minek! Kui v\u00f5rrelda 1986. aastaga,
\nsiis on tee l\u00e4inud laiemaks ja kiiremaks, aga muidu on katse praegu samasugune.\u201c<\/p>\n
\u201eSilmad kinni p\u00e4ris ei saa, aga katse on v\u00e4ga tuttav. Nii on hea s\u00f5ita.\u201c<\/p>\n
\u201e2012 l\u00f5petasin aktiivse osalemise meistriv\u00f5istluste sarjas. Aga s\u00f5idame ikka edasi.
\nOleme elu aeg s\u00f5itnud, mida muud ikka teha? Audi projektiga on samuti tore tegeleda, aga mingit konkreetset eesm\u00e4rki sellega pole.\u201c<\/p>\n
